The first VBA macro example (CheckForBrokenBOMLinkValues.zip) checks all View attached BOM tables for any linked-value cells that have broken links and have out-of-date values as a result. The value of a cell is captured, then the cell value is set to an empty string and the resultant value is compared against the captured value, to determine if a link is broken. Setting cells to an empty string will restore any broken links, restoring the broken link values, for comparison as explained. This particular macro sets the original value back, does not leave the link restored, in other words, just for demonstration purposes. It is an adaptation of the online API Help example "Get Table Annotation and Contents Example (VBA)".
The second VBA macro example (RestoreBrokenBOMLinks.zip) restores the changed values back to the original ones and restores the links to those parts. It also updates obsolete method calls.
