The SolidWorks API provides the ability to add your own tabs to the SolidWorks Task Pane.  In the Task Pane tab, you can place a custom ActiveX control.  This is an example of doing just that, using a SolidWorks Addin to create a Task Pane tab, and place in it a custom control that has a web browser control in it.  Also in the Visual Studio 2005 solution is a Windows Installer project to create an installer for the addin and custom control.

The sample is written with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and C#.
