Question:

How can an SHX font be imported to eDrawings Viewer?

Answer:

1. Copy the SHX font from machine where AutoCAD® is installed and paste in the ‘fonts’ folder of the eDrawings installation

2. Then start eDrawings and from Tools-> Options-> Import-> click cursor on ‘Shape and fonts folder:’ and click on ‘Add’. Browse to the location where the SHX was pasted (i.e. in E:\Program Files\eDrawings\fonts)

3. Close eDrawings and start the application again

4. Open the DWG file and notice that the font and text will be displayed as desired.
