Enabling 3D Interconnect (Beta Version) in SOLIDWORKS 2017

SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect replaces currently released translation capabilities with new technology and more integrated workflows for working with third party native CAD data.

3D Interconnect is available in SOLIWORKS  starting SOLIDWORKS 2017 PR1 as a beta functionality. Its purely optional for user to enable this functionality to test, review its capabilities and provide feedback.

 

Following are the steps to enable 3D interconnect in SOLIDWORKS PR1

 

1. Install and Launch SOLIDWORKS 2017 PR-1

 

2. Go to System options => Import

3. Select "Inventor/Catia V5/ Creo/NX/ Solid Edge" in File Format Drop Down List

4. Click on the Check-box "Enable 3D interconnect (Beta Version)" and Accept the non commercial eula.
