My design rule specifies a trapezium with parallel sides horizontal and other sides sloping inward at rate of 1:20 to vertical.

This is a perfectly reasonable rule and I can sketch the trapezium with sufficient precision by specifying the slope as 2 deg 87 min.

However I then want to rotate the trapezium until one sloping side is Vertical.

Because 1:20 is not an integral number of degrees or radians, I can rotate to nearly vertical but not to vertical. The line's property manager shows the x ordinates of the two ends of the line as being slightly different at 7 decimal places.

How can I get the line vertical?

Every now and then, say 10% of the time, I create a sketch of some closed shape such as a rectangle, and I get these tiny, little vestage sketch lines propagating out from one of the corner intersections. They are only visible if I zoom way, way in. I don't realize they are there until I try to extrude, sweep, cut, etc., and of course the feature fails, or it tries to extrude-thin or some crap like that. I would be the first to admit that I may be doing something bone-headed here, although it is nothing obvious to my observation, but is anyone else here having this occur? Just another thing in the list of minor annoyances. See attached.

While working in an assembly I need to insert a plane and figured I'd use a 3-D sketch and insert it using lines and points. The surface I need in curved and I need the plane for a particular hole. Anyway when I get done making the 3-D sketch and close it, it disappears to where I can't select it but if I hover over the feature in the tree it highlights it. It is there but invisible. any suggestions?

I have the need to engrave text on 96 precise locations. The part I am creating has a grid of 96 squares at 9mm spacing. At the center of each of these squares I need to place 96 different pieces of text. The text needs to be perfectly centered in the rectangle in both directions. What would be the easiest way to acomplish this? Right now I see myself having to create a horizontal line in the center of each rectangle and creating a seperate note as well. I can attach each note to the line and use center justify. I can get through this, but I wonder if there is an easy way. Sometimes I create parts that have this 384 times, and that would be quite a chore.

The text is simply a location label. A1, A2, A3; B1, B2, B3, all the way to H12. A-H being the row and 1-12 being the column.

Does this make sense? Can anybod help?

I am trying to cope a standard C5@9 channel but standard solidworks measurement will only let me go two digits past the decimal point (to the hundreths). I need to cope to at least thousanths. Please let me know how I can do that with the line tool in sketch mode.
