OK so first time on forums... So what's up everyone? Up until now i have been able to resolve all the little issues i have had. Here's the problem...

I'm using dual dimensions with millimeters as my primary unit and inches as my secondary. In my options settings im setup for ANSI and my leading zeros are set to standard. I cannot get the leading zeros to NOT display for inches. If i use the remove option for leading zeros, the leading zeros on my millimeters disappear as well. I need leading zeros on for millimeters and off for inches.

Is there anyway to do this without dumbing down my dimensions?

thanks in advance,
Carl

My cosmetis threads (hidden lines) are disappearing in the drawing .... they display correctly @ model insert items but once the drawing is saved and retieved the lines disappear.

Any work around?

I only need to show these lines in a single front view.... is there a way to show a construction line (dimensioned / sketched in the model) in the drawing as hidden style?

thanks
Jeff

Design Table in Drawing

Hello everyone,

I am having some trouble with a little project I am working on. I am using a design table with multiple sizes that controls the dimensions of various capacitor chips. In each drawing, I display a portion of the design table that shows the dimensions for that particular chip. I then saved the drawing and moved on to the next drawing. Changed the dimensions being displayed then saved again. THEN, when I go back to the first drawing, the design table being displayed is the same as 2nd (because the design table on the drawing is always being updated). Is there a way to have the design table display the dimensions for the appropriate chip for each different drawing? Any ideas of how I should approach this problem? Thanks!

Why is the Detail View Arrow Size tied to the dimension/leader arrow size? You would think that this would be tied to the Section/View arrow size. So now I have larger arrows and text for my section views and small arrows for my detail views. I like consistancy in my view arrow size. Is this going to be improved upon in the future I hope????

I have section views of mold assemblies that I have elected to show some hidden features. I select the feature in the FM and right click and choose "show/hide" choose "show hidden edges". This allows me to show certian features in a hidden state rather than showing all the hidden edges of a part.
The problem is when I reopen the drawing at a later time those edges do not show up. I have tried resolving all the lightweight parts still nothing. I am able to make them reappear by reselecting any one of the features again. Not only do the hidden edges of that prt show again, all other parts that had edges selected for showing go back to the way they were saved.....shown.

Has anyone else found a better work around? Deleting the view and undeleting ddosnt work either.

Greetings, I have used stacked balloons before and have never seen this behavior. I have a view of several sheet metal components in an assembly, I want to stack some balloons to represent the sheet metal piece and the hardware needed to hold it in place. I start the stacked balloon with selecting the sheet metal piece, entering a custom number and there it is, looking good. Next I start selecting and entering a custom number for the hardware that is used to attach it to another component. This time the balloon is brown ( I'm colorblind so I'm sure what the color is). What have I done wrong? This is the same procedure I have used before.

TIA,

Steve

Hello.

I have small problem.
In slddrw dashed lines (hidden lines) looks like in this picture (zoom):
http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/6513/slddwgog7.jpg

But when I save drawing as dwg (using mapfile) result looks like:
http://img255.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dwgcz2.jpg

Problem is when drawing is printed - from slddrw everything looks fine, but from dwg these lines looks like solid line, not dashed...

How to change parameters (gap) of exported hidden lines?

Why do my ordinate dims not change when I change the model?? They don't even appear in a out of context colour to warn me that they are no longer correctly referenced to the model.

This is dangerous as I can easily miss the change on the drawing and issue it to production with the old dimensions.

Does any one know how to solve this problem?

Thanks
